- Emotional Range — how many human temperatures without breaking character continuity
- Believability — do you buy the person, not the plot summary
- Technical Skill — voice, body, craft you can point at
- Screen Presence — gravitational attention, not volume
- Chemistry — the charge between people (or the meaningful lack of it)
When to open them
Use them when a role is too sharp for one number — Streep’s precision comedy, Damon’s Odysseus under epic noise, Holland’s dual loneliness week, Zendaya shifting from goddess leverage to memory gap.
If all five sliders are identical, you are not using them. You are decorating a quick rate. Make them disagree. That disagreement is the review.
