About this performance
Overview
Emma Stone as Bella Baxter in Poor Things (2023) gives raters a clear craft target inside the film. Community scores currently sit near 8.3/10, which places the work among stronger rated turns for presence, conviction, and moment-to-moment control. On ActorRating, this page is about the acting — not a verdict on the movie as a whole.
Why the score looks this way
The radar lean is clearest in Character Believability and Screen Presence, where raters tend to reward the performance most consistently. Relative soft spots show up around Technical Skill and Emotional Range & Depth, which is where disagreement often concentrates. Breakdown: Emotional Range & Depth 7.7; Character Believability 9.2; Technical Skill 6.8; Screen Presence 8.9; Chemistry & Interaction 8.7. Use those axes to decide whether the work impresses you for emotional range, believability, technique, screen presence, or chemistry.
Community consensus
Only 1 community rating has landed so far, so treat the average as an early read rather than a locked verdict. The headline community average is 8.3/10 across Emotional Range & Depth, Character Believability, Technical Skill, Screen Presence, and Chemistry & Interaction. If your rating diverges from the pack, the dimension sliders are the best way to show where you part company.
Notable craft moments
Without spoiling story turns, watch for craft tells: how Emma Stone uses stillness versus push, how dialogue lands under pressure, and whether the character feels inhabited even in quiet beats. Given the current radar emphasis on Character Believability and Screen Presence, prioritize scenes (or stretches of scenes) where that quality is most exposed — not plot shock, but delivery, physical choice, and listening.
