Why this turn today
Javier Bardem's work as Silva in Skyfall (2012) already has community heat on ActorRating (1 logged-in rating). Daily journal rule: don't let that heat become vibes.
The acting question
Not "is the movie good?" — what did Javier Bardem do with Silva? Name one choice that would not survive a trailer cut. If you cannot, your score is still a draft.
Score it on the five criteria
- Emotional Range & Depth — what feeling survives past the trailer?
- Character Believability — did you forget the actor, or only the brand?
- Performance Quality — voice, body, timing: name one precise choice.
- Screen Presence — who held the room when the plot stopped helping?
- Chemistry & Interaction — who changed someone else's temperature?
Common mistakes on this card
- Rating the franchise instead of the turn
- Smuggling box office or discourse into the number
- Averaging lead and supporting performances into one vibe
One scene drill
Pick the quietest scene with Javier Bardem on screen. If your score only works on the loudest beat, revisit Performance Quality until you can cite the still moment.
